We’re not MAD.

Hey, does anybody remember CRACKED magazine? I mean the actual print mag in America. Chances are you probably don’t. But that magazine inspired so much of what I am today. Whether that is good or bad I leave up for the future to decide. As I was tackling the interwebs today I came across a website that had a collection of the magazine covers since their very first issue back in 1958. They have some really inspiring covers in the 70’s. I think that John Severin is the Norman Rockwell of humor magazine artist. I absolutely love his ink and color work. Here are just a few examples. Each from a different year I recommend had some of the best issues and covers.
Here is the link to the site. I recommend 1970, 1994, and 1995
I hope you enjoy the trip down memory lane if you grew up in states. Cracked was the one thing I could convince my dad to buy me once every couple of months at the grocery store. It was literally the best thing that happened to me in the early 90’s. Thanks for checking in.
